Musashino Association’s Library maintains a collection of publications on Japanese culture and civilization since 1998 when it was founded.
The initial fund was of 800 volumes donated with generosity by Musashino City and Japan Foundation.
At present the fund consists of over 1500 volumes including multimedia utilities, from various fields of activity. The majority is in English language. There are some in French, German, Romanian and Japanese, too. Users have free access to the books displayed on the shelves.
The collection is enriched every year with purchased or donated publications. Donations are offered by Romanian and Japanese citizens, by Musashino City Hall, by Japan Foundation and recently by the International House of Japan and Romanian publishing houses.
Open hours: from Monday to Friday
from 1p.m. to 5p.m.
Closed: Saturdays, Sundays, National Holidays, Easter and New Year’s holiday, in Summer vacation from July to middle of September, and any other days specified by the Musashino Association, Japan.

| Subscription conditions |
Library membership is open to anybody over 10 years old.
On the registration it is required an identity card having a visa current year.
Their parents will register children.
Library members are offered an introductory library tour on their request. |

Lending books.
The fund of the library is a reference one. Therefore, as a principle, the books should be used in the reading hall.
Although, as an exception from the rule, there are some specific books, which can be lent by the regular members for maximum 1 week. One time extension of the lending is allowed.
Reading hall.
Reference books are required to be read in the reading hall.
Copying
Items from the Library may be copied within the limits allowed by copyrights laws.
Cost: 10 cents one side, 15 cents both sides. |
